The last two years have been quite a whirlwind for Brittany Bindrim as the I:Scintilla frontwoman has made considerable strides as a solo artist. 2024 saw the release of her widely acclaimed Velella Velella album, which served as a strong showcase for her dynamic vocals and her stylistic versatility – equal parts electro, industrial, synthpop, darkwave, with entrancing melodies and ambient passages that immersed her listeners in the otherworldly embrace of her creative vision. Live performances and remixes followed, with this year bringing forth her Counterpoison follow-up, already exhibiting evolutionary steps toward something wholly her own. The DNA of her first album and her past work in I:Scintilla still resonates, but with a renewed sense of purpose and sharper focus, with themes both universal and intimate, assertive yet vulnerable, and above all, catchy as hell! ReGen is thrilled to have had the opportunity to speak with Brittany Bindrim about the development of her solo artistry, working with esteemed producer and musician Matt McJunkins, performing live, the visual aesthetics of her latest album, and more!
