Big beats, chills, and thrills—“Hunting In The Dark” is a darkwave dance-floor banger that transforms heavy moments into pure energy and positivity. With Driven by pulse-pounding rhythms, infectious hooks, and vocals that refuse to be dimmed, it’s about finding light (and maybe a little mischief) in the shadows.
This uplifting single will be released Friday, September 19th along side a trippy visualizer video. Produced with Matt McJunkins (A Perfect Circle, Puscifer), “Hunting In The Dark” paves the way for Brittany Bindrim’s full ‘Counterpoison’ album rollout on October 24.

About Counterpoison
Following her 2024 debut Velella Velella (Metropolis Records), Counterpoison ventures deeper into themes of transformation, sociopolitical unrest, and the shadows of the human psyche. Across gritty dance bangers and moody ballads, Bindrim melds abrasive synths, punishing beats, and powerhouse vocals into a fearless statement of resistance.
Pre-order the new album ‘Counterpoison’ now, out on October 24, 2025.

I could no longer find myself
So lost, lost in your roaring flames
I’ve been scorned
I was scorched and wary But now I’m free from all the violent games
It was so fickle
Ring the bell
Salivate to the chime
Calling on every line
It wasn’t real
But it looked so good when you’re blind
Fell for it every time
You - longing for a blaze
Chasing another
Looking for the dead to raise
Hunting in the dark
I’ve been locked up inside myself for so long
No one else that I can blame
I’ve been scorned
I was scorched and wary But now I call the demon by its name
It was so fickle
Ring the bell
Salivate to the chime
Calling on every line
It wasn’t real
The mirage looks good in your mind
Fell for it every time
You - longing for a blaze
Chasing another
Looking for the dead to raise
Hunting in the dark
Chasing another spark
Hunting in the dark
BIO
Synthpop/darkwave artist Brittany Bindrim is set to release her sophomore album, Counterpoison, in Fall 2025. The record delivers powerful, gritty, hard-hitting dance bangers alongside moody, ethereal ballads, and marks an even catchier, more melodically infectious evolution from her debut.
Brittany released her long-awaited debut solo album, Velella Velella, on March 8, 2024, via Metropolis Records. Already known for her catchy melodies and powerhouse vocals as the frontwoman of I:Scintilla, she explores an uncharted sonic terrain as a solo artist—delivering genre-bending, edgy tracks with punishing beats and abrasive synthesizers. Her solo project showcases both the depth and versatility of her artistry.
This new chapter of Brittany’s career delves deeper into new territory through her collaboration with producer Matt McJunkins (A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Eagles of Death Metal, Poppy). Channeling themes of transformation, sociopolitical unrest, and the exploration of humanity’s darker facets, her vulnerable and unapologetic lyrics explore self-discovery, empathy, apathy, disillusionment, and growth.

EVER SO SLOWLY MUSIC VIDEO
Video by Simona Noreik • Released 8/15/25
But just when you think you've unraveled the depths of this album's introspective nature, the tempo shifts, and you find yourself amid a pulsating dance floor. This album effortlessly transitions between moods, surprising you at every turn and keeping you guessing what's next. As the final notes fade, you're left with a lingering sense of awe and wonder.
- The Spill Magazine
This album starts powerfully and well, like a trip that you now know you were always waiting for. And each new moment in that trip gives you every reason to write home and to want more. But it’s the end of that trip that cements this as one of the most effective musical journeys you will hear this decade, because even a great trip that leaves you wanting or wondering at the end will suffer because that is what you will remember. This should be vinyl. It should be a record that kills itself a little every time you play it, one that requires you to wait in line at Sam Goody’s one more time to get it all over again. Because by the end, it died for a good cause. I am clear about what I remember about this trip. And I think you will be too.
- ReGen Magazine

Through its varied musical landscapes and deep lyrical content, Bindrim’s creation surpasses genre confines, offering a nuanced reflection on contemporary life and showcasing her multifaceted artistic depth.
